Ephesians 5:13-17
“But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, ‘Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’ Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
Use your time to accomplish God’s will for you!
Sometimes our lives get used up by our job and the leftover time we spend watching TV or browsing the internet. We use our time like this, not because we want to waste it, but because there is nothing motivating us to use it another way.
If you get an opportunity to use your time on something you’re passionate about, you will never spend it just watching TV instead. So get passionate about God and what he wants to do through you!
How would you use your time differently if you always first asked yourself, “How would God like me to use my time right now?” There will be times when God wants you to kick back and rest or have fun with friends. And there will be times when he wants you to spend some time with him, or equipping yourself for ministry.
Have you thought how you can use even your “busy” time more effectively for God? When you are at the shops, when you are at work, commuting to work, or talking to the parents at sports or playgroup. Sometimes we are so busy being busy we forget about what God may want to be doing through us even while we are busy!
