29TH NOVEMBER
Matthew 9:27-31
“And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, ‘Have mercy on us, Son of David.’ When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to him, ‘Yes, Lord.’ Then he touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith be it done to you.’ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, ‘See that no one knows about it.’ But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.”
We could experience so much more of God’s power at work if we only trusted him more!
“According to your faith be it done to you,” Jesus said to those blind men. And that’s what he’s saying to you today as you read this passage. So often in Jesus’ ministry, he asked people, as he does in this passage, “Do you believe?” God works in response to faith. There is so much that God wants to do, not only in your life but in the lives of people around you even today if you will trust him completely and take him at his word. Ask God to open your eyes to what he wants to do in and through you, to know him, to trust him.
If you trust him, then you will obey him and honour him in every circumstance, knowing that his power will be at work on behalf of his purpose in your life and also in the lives of those around you. Trust and obey!

What does Jeremiah 17:5-6 say about those who trust themselves and not the Lord? According to Isaiah 40:27-31, what does the Lord do for those who have hope in him?
