24TH NOVEMBER
1 Corinthians 15:3-8
“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.”
Jesus doesn’t simply want you to believe in the historical fact of his resurrection—he wants you to know him!
He’s there with you now as you read this, helping you understand him better. When you invite God to lead your life, it’s Jesus whose life changes your life. When the Holy Spirit works in your heart and life to reveal what God wants to do in your life, that’s Jesus revealing his heart to you.
Jesus told the disciples, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-14)
