2 Corinthians 2:14
“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.”
They just have to encounter a Christian!
God plans to spread the knowledge of him to people around you, through you!
God doesn’t only spread the knowledge of him through preaching at church, or through reading the Bible. People don’t have to come to a special place to encounter God, they just have to encounter a Christian who is living as a witness.
DL Moody once said, “Of one hundred men, one will read the Bible, the ninety-nine will read the Christian.” He was right. In this verse Paul pictures Jesus leading Christians around like a parade, showing what a difference he makes in their lives, so that “through us he spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.”
That’s why it’s important for you to drop little titbits about your relationship with God into your normal conversations about life. Being open about your relationship with God spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him to people around you. It attracts them to the incredible person, Jesus Christ.
MAKE IT PERSONAL
Do your neighbours know that you’re a Christian? Do your workmates know that you are a Christian? Do your friends know that you are a Christian? If they don’t why is that? If they do, is it because you told them or is it because you act like a Christian?
