Ephesians 3:7
“Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.”
Ministering the gospel is a gift of grace and is done by the working of God’s power!
When you step out of your comfort zone and start sharing Christ with the people around you, you may at first think that sharing Christ is a burden, something that is hard to do but necessary. But as you start to see God use you to change people’s lives, you will very quickly realise that God has been so good to you to let you be a part of what he does for people around you. You also recognise that this kind of life change that is happening in these people’s lives is not because of any awesomeness in you, but because God is at work with his power.
For sure it is wise for us to be prepared. 1 Peter 3:15 say to “always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you”. It is important that you study the bible to know the truths of scripture and the message of the gospel. But today God wants you to realise that ministering the gospel isn’t just about being prepared, it’s done by the working of his power. We must realise that we are made ministers of the gospel according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given to us by the working of his power. Take a moment to meditate on that thought.
