John 7:16

Remember that you are sharing someone else’s message!
Sometimes when we are trying to be a witness we feel like we have to come up with some clever way of talking to people about spiritual things or about God. But the fact is, the message we have to share is already clear. When you don’t know what to say to someone, just stick to the simple, clear message of the gospel.
God made us in a way that our lives will work as designed only when his life is flowing through us. But we are separated from God because we have offended him personally by going our own way in life and we have broken his laws by ignoring our consciences and doing what we know is wrong.
The result is brokenness in our lives right now, and God’s eternal judgment when we die. There is nothing we can do to get ourselves out of this situation. That’s why Jesus came. He did for us what we couldn’t do. He took God’s judgment for our sin when he died on the cross.
That means that we can experience God’s forgiveness when we put our faith in Jesus. Because Jesus rose from the dead he is now able to change our lives on the inside and help us begin to live the life he designed for us.
This is the simple, clear message God has given us to share with people.
